The Double Spiral can be found all across the world in different ancient cultures. For the Celtics, the double spiral represents duality, balance between opposing forces (like life and death or day and night), and the interconnected nature of the universe. For the Native Americans the double spiral represents the souls journey and they also represent the elements of air and water for some tribes.
One spiral starts in the center and spirals out all the other one starts from the outside and spirals in. These two spirals represent the beginning of life, the journey of growing, and the end of life, our journey returning back inward to source.
